Okay, so I realize I haven't written here in a while. I'm just like that, I'm afraid. I don't think I can make up for the lost time; I'll just summarize a few things and try to start again from there.

First off, I'll welcome a new friend to my LJ friends list: [livejournal.com profile] demiurgent. Be kind.

My Clie has been working out quite well over the last couple of weeks. Having 64 megabytes of memory stick in which to put books is a major boon. For once, I'm nowhere near running out of space--or out of reading matter. I've put literally dozens of books in the gizmo, and it'll be a long, long time before I run out of things to read.

Heroic humor, new maps... )

I suppose that sometimes I may be more amused by little things on my job than I should be. But still, the system of abbreviation for items in our store's cash register system can be quite funny at times.

It just struck me as funny today when a receipt said LADIES PANT, followed by LADIES DRESS. :)

I miss the P.B. Max candy bar. It was only around for a very short time, a number of years back. I can't even remember who it was that made it. It was darned good, though.

The P.B. Max was essentially a sort of square cookie shell, dipped in chocolate, and filled with a mixture of peanut butter and cookie pellets. And I don't mean the candified "peanut butter" in Reese's cups, that bears about the same resemblance to real peanut butter as pasteurized process cheese food does to cheese. I mean the real deal, the same sort of genuine thick, crunchy, sticks-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth peanut butter that you'd take out of a jar and spread on a sandwich.

I wonder if they still make those, or anything like those, anywhere in the world. I sure wish I had one right now.
