My weekend
Jul. 30th, 2007 05:41 pmSaturday, after another blood sample at BioKinetic, I headed down to visit my parents, 60 miles away. I'd been planning it for a while; just never had gotten around to it. They were rather startled to see me, but happy.
In turn, I was rather startled when I needed to help unload about 140 bales of hay into the barn from the truck and trailer of a local hay provider. The fellow was in his late 60s, with a couple of hip replacements, so Mom and I helped unload and stack. (Dad couldn't assist as it was too humid for him to be able to breathe well.) Needed a shower after that.
I had been planning to come back late in the afternoon, but it started storming and raining before I could do so. I ended up staying overnight with the parentfolks and watching The 39 Steps, which I'd never seen before. It was quite a good movie.
Sunday morning, it was off to church with the parents, then back home again. I spent the rest of the day playing City of Heroes.
