My recent life, and welcome to it
Aug. 6th, 2009 04:27 pmHmm. So LoudTwitter has been down since July 1st, so all the tweets I thought were getting shipped to my journals haven't been after all. Geez, if I'd known that I would have written more journal stuff.
What has my last month been like? Not a whole lot. Still looking for work, but in this economy…feh.
Discovered a nice, economical sushi shop in the Battlefield Mall (and reviewed it on Yelp). Suddenly my occasional sushi cravings become that much more affordable to satisfy. Now if only I didn't have to hobble the length of the entire mall to get to it from the bus stop.
Have learned about Rifftrax's live event in August, and already bought my ticket for the Hollywood Theater showing.
Made some new friends on-line, got in a City of Heroes levelling pact with one of them (if you don't know what that is, don't worry about it). Wrote some new stuff for a couple of Internet furry fiction settings.
Got Google Voice set up, and have been evangelizing it to everyone I meet. (It's just so amazingly cool! Everyone should have it.) I even got my Mom and Dad set up with it. Click the doohickey at right to be connected directly to my phone if you have the urge to talk to me.
As I mentioned a couple of days ago, the visit to the doctor went well, and I'm on track to have the erector set removed from my leg in early October right before the convention I'm helping to run. And speaking of the convention, we had a very successful picnic this July, with over 150 people in attendance. (I bought along a dumpcake, the same as usual, and it disappeared faster than ever.)
I've written some more pieces for the TeleRead e-book blog to which I contribute. You can see a listing of my articles there in reverse chronological order using this category link.
I'm told that LoudTwitter may be back up again within the next few days. I hope it is. Though in a way it's kind of like a crutch, making me feel like writing here less often. I kind of regret that, a little. I guess until then I'll try to do a little more chronicling than I have been lately.
