I can see for miles and miles…
Aug. 21st, 2015 04:36 pmToday I went down to the IU Vision Center on Indiana Avenue for an eye exam under my insurance. It's a great little building, located literally right on the edge of the Canal Walk, so you could look out the window and see a great view of the canal and the Fresco Cafe right across the way.
( The examination and how it went. )
Anyway, that's where I am.
It'll be interesting to have real glasses again. I haven't really been able to wear the ones from several years ago because they've got a big old unsightly scratched-up spot in the middle of one lens, and from what the eye doctor found my prescription has changed so much since then than they probably wouldn't do me much good anyway. My eyes have actually gotten better since then; I gather I'm at the age where that sort of thing happens. But they've also gotten worse at close-in vision; I'm at that age, too. So the bifocals. It'll be interesting having bifocals again, but I expect I'll get used to them.
