A weekend in Purgatory...
Jan. 6th, 2005 09:56 pm...is fast approaching.
Best-case scenario is that I'll have some form of 'net access, and be able to vegetate near the TV set and surf and chat and write while movies are being played. I won't be dragged too much into interacting with people, and can put my headphones on and tune them out when I want to; perhaps we'll even watch some of my DVDs.
Worst-case is that I'll have no net access, not get to play any of my DVDs, and it'll all be too noisy and people won't leave me alone. And I won't be able to sleep either, due to the bunkroom-style accommodations. But at least I'll have books to read and be able to bang out some writing on my computer because there'll be nothing else to do.
I'm trying not to dwell upon the worst case too much.
Either way, it'll be two full days of work and two full days of weekend before I get to play City of Heroes again—and a week and a half until I get the full-days-long total immersion weekend experience. And then a week after that I have to go in and do it again!
I'm hoping and praying there will be some way I can access the Internet. I can put up with anything else the weekend can throw at me if there's just somewhere to plug in, or some unsecured wireless network to latch onto.
I can only hope...
