Just had a pleasant and fun evening...was talking with the neighbor two doors down, and it turned out he'd never seen This is Spinal Tap. Well, one thing led to another, so I took my lapdesk and my laptop down to his place and got online (the nice thing about wireless Internet access is I have the range for that), called the Chinese place down the street, and ordered dinner for us to split. Splitting a large order of sate beef and an eggroll apiece was a pretty good meal, and only cost $3.25 each. (He'll pay me back later.)
He enjoyed the movie a lot (especially since he plays guitar himself), and so did I. It's funny how watching something like that with someone who's never seen it can have a sort of feedback effect and make the thing seem even funnier. After the movie, we watched some of the extras, including interviews, commercials, music videos...and the hour-plus of outtake (or, rather, shot but never in-put) footage. At some point, I'll go back over and spin the movie again with the in-character commentary track on and get more laughs.
Anyway, I'm up about an hour or so after the time I meant to get in bed...but it was for a good cause. Which is good, 'cause I'm now tired. Night all.
