Textual update
Nov. 13th, 2003 06:03 pmAs I mentioned in my previous post, Livejournal now provides the ability to post audio messages by phone. Not a bad idea, especially since I get free long distance from my cellphone and from work (given that I work for a phone company, long distance really is free if I call from work. :). Considered posting that way again now, but I figure I can type it just as briefly and accessibly to more people.
As I mentioned in my phone post, my furnace up and quit on me, leaving my apartment rather chilly last night. I slept really deeply for some reason...I suppose the cold and heavy blankets reminded me subconsciously of sleeping at home. Whatever the cause, I was hibernating like a polar bear.
Called the landlord on it this morning, and again on lunchbreak. He said he'd had his handiman look at the stove, and it just wasn't getting gas for some reason. Then, 20 minutes ago, I got a voicemail from a heating repair company rep that he was heading over to my apartment. Hopefully it'll be fixed by the time I get home tonight.

Thursday night thoughts

Well, the furnace is working, and my room is again nice and toasty warm. Have to send the landlord a thank you note or something.
Watching episodes of the Lupin III second TV series on DVD courtesy of Greencine. It's amusing, but not as good as some of the later Lupin stuff. Highly formulaic, but still good for a few good chuckles. I'm glad I"m able to rent without having to buy it, though.
I was taken a bit by surprise today when I suddenly noticed it was Thursday. I'd somehow been under the impression it was Tuesday. It's a nice surprise to find it's later than I thought...
