Well, I just now finished reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix—the book I waited three years for. I'm still not entirely sure what I think of it, overall; it's still too fresh in my head for me to think clearly about it. But I can say that Rowling continued the trend she's shown in the last few, of managing to blend darkness and humor into a perfectly-marbled mix...so right when you're feeling down about something that's just happened a few pages ago, it's not long before there is one of those cleverly-described hilarious scenes that bring a cathartic belly laugh to lighten the mood. A few little mysteries introduced in prior books are expanded upon—and some of them finally brought out into the light for the first time...but then, that's the way Rowling's always done things. I do have to say that I guessed wrong about a few things, but that's the way it goes.
I sure hope it's not another three years 'til the next one, though.
