Monday, Monday
May. 19th, 2003 05:16 pmWell, on the bad side, I managed to forget my id badge for the first time ever this morning. Kind of embarrassing, and irritating, too—I'd finally remembered to leave early enough to get there about ten minutes ahead of time, and just as I was walking in the door, I realized the badget was still hanging by my door at home. Oh well.
The irritation was made up for by the good side of the day: I found out I'd gotten an 85 on my quality-monitored call on Friday. In other words, I didn't do anything wrong; it was a perfect call, a "straight A" if you will. The only way I could have surpassed perfection and gotten an "A plus" would have been if I'd impressed the customer. So, I got congratulations and a little "certificate of excellence" too.
Also, I've volunteered to work on Memorial Day, next Monday. At the double-plus-overtime holiday pay rate of $20 an hour. Which means, assuming I stick it out and don't take undertime on that day, my next paycheck will be about $120 fatter than the norm. Not bad at all.
