Well, the Linux meetup went decently last night; for the last couple of months we hadn't gotten enough meeters to hold one. I guess people are mostly satisfied with the LUG meetings and don't feel the need for one more. I did find out, though, that the downtown coffeeshop has a pretty good wireless network (and that there are a lot of other open wireless networks in town...time to start saving for a laptop and a wireless card, methinks). And Gentoo Linux looks pretty interesting...sort of a cross between a package manager and an automatic compiler. Instead of pulling down a pre-compiled binary, it pulls down the source and auto-compiles and installs it. Sure does take some time, though.
