Went to bed early last night in the hope that I could devote today to getting done some of the things I really need to get done. In that spirit...well, when I moved a box while searching for the sync cable to my Rio MP3 player and about forty roaches of varying sizes boiled out of it, I realized--it's time to do what I've been putting off, and get some professional help.

So I made a couple of phone calls, and found a maid service; they'll send someone out tomorrow at noon for an estimate. I'll try to do a little cleaning on it myself this afternoon, I guess. Isn't that ironic, cleaning my room before the maid arrives?

I hope this all works out. I am sick of this mess, and I am so sick of living with these roaches. One or the other of us has got to go, and I've got too much stuff to move for it to be me just yet.

Now...I need to go try getting some breakfast, and hope after what I've seen this morning I still have some appetite for it.

I've never actually played any Monster Rancher, so this doesn't mean a whole lot to me...but maybe my friends who do will get a kick out of it.

All right, I'm excited.

I've just been informed by some friends that there is going to be a live action/CGI remake of the classic Rankin-Bass animated movie, The Last Unicorn. Well...not precisely a remake exactly, since the script for this one is a brand new interpretation of the original novel--by the original novel's author, Peter S. Beagle (who co-wrote the script for the animated version).

I've been waiting for a good live-action unicorn movie ever since I saw Gladiator and found myself wondering what Legend would look like if it were made now. For it to be this movie--based on one of the greatest fantasy novels ever written--is almost too much to hope for. And to have some of the original cast doing the original roles--but now in live action...wow. Wowee wow. I am soooo there.
