The Next to Last Unicorn
Nov. 12th, 2001 01:26 pmAll right, I'm excited.
I've just been informed by some friends that there is going to be a live action/CGI remake of the classic Rankin-Bass animated movie, The Last Unicorn. Well...not precisely a remake exactly, since the script for this one is a brand new interpretation of the original novel--by the original novel's author, Peter S. Beagle (who co-wrote the script for the animated version).
I've been waiting for a good live-action unicorn movie ever since I saw Gladiator and found myself wondering what Legend would look like if it were made now. For it to be this movie--based on one of the greatest fantasy novels ever written--is almost too much to hope for. And to have some of the original cast doing the original roles--but now in live action...wow. Wowee wow. I am soooo there.
