That Waves Nx thing isn't all that clever. Not today. It was clever in the 1950s when Ben Bauer figured out how to eliminate the "blobs in head" feeling you get from listening to stereo recordings with headphones:

But today? The idea is old hat.

Also, Waves Audio needs to get a lot of things exactly right for the whole thing to work. I'm not confident. They misuse the term "crossfeed", and they say Waves Nx can turn stereo recordings into "true 5.1 and 7.1 surround" which is physically impossible. The snake oil seems strong with this one.
