There's a better-sounding alternative to the Android/iPod Touch music player thang: the Sansa Clip line. They're inexpensive (under $40 retail) and sound better than anything Apple currently sells. Install Rockbox (replacement firmware) and you've got one of the best budget-fi music players in the world.
