Here are the things I am willing to admit to having done today:

09:28 I've just heard what my doorbell sounds like, for the first time ever. Apparently the problem was in the button. #
10:24 Man it's weird hearing my doorbell ring after all this time living here without it working. #
10:28 Getting the light fixed in my kitchen, too, and naturally the broken window. #
10:40 The maintenance people measured the window wrong for the replacement so they need to go get another pane of glass. #
10:44 I just had to go through half an hour of rigamarole, signing up with Cisco Secure Mail, just for "Prescription has been called in. Thanks." #
10:45 Rather than get a replacement pane of glass, the maintenance people are now chiseling the window a little larger. #
11:30 They're putting plastic over my bedroom windows for me now. Hopefully that will mean less heat leakage and lower heating bills. #
