The dream I woke up to (in which characters in school in a rigid dystopian future discover a dimensional rift to a savage dystopian future and are being hauled off to be slaves as a plot complication) ended when the character I was inhabiting at the time got a big toe covered in leeches that had to be cut off. I woke up to find I'd stuck that foot out from under the covers and my toe was very cold.
