Here are the things I am willing to admit to having done today:

  • 01:22 Bread machine loaded with a sourdough mix. Timer and alarm clock set to compromise between when I *should* and *would rather* get up. Bed. #
  • 08:13 New #TeleRead - FTC moves to require disclosure of "blogola": bit.ly/PZyaK #
  • 11:29 @wifi_guy What/where was all this? #
  • 11:30 @deedee_jacobs I am so gonna have to yelp that. #
  • 11:50 @wifi_guy Eh, there'll always be people like that. #
  • 11:54 @Drools4Suki @glider_guy What about Teoph? #
  • 12:05 twitpic.com/5zz31 - Cat and one-fourth #
  • 12:16 Hee hee: singing in falsetto or deep-voiced scat causes my cat to come over, mewing, and place paws on my knee to peer concernedly up at me. #
  • 12:43 Just added myself to the wefollow.com twitter directory under: #ebooks #anime #blogger #
  • 13:40 And...I got on the wrong bus again. I actually crossed the street for the southbound instead of the north I meant to take. I'm hopeless. #
  • 13:42 Fortunately I remembered a couple of errands in that direction that needed doing, too. Unemployment check-in and post office forwarding. #
  • 13:43 Waiting in the post office line now. Don't know what I would have done with this time before twitter. #
  • 14:19 Missions accomplished, large pina colada shaved ice had, bus being waited for. Next stop: Park Central Square and the food stamp office. #
  • 14:21 No wifi on this bus, either. But I didn't really expect it; the wifi buses cover parts of town where I never go. #
  • 14:29 Slightly annoyed with this shock-absorbing cane I have. It has a removable rubber tip with a carbide point underneath for rough ground. #
  • 14:31 Predictably, the carbide point has worn through the rubber tip and is peeking through after only a few days of use. #
  • 14:34 It's okay on cement but really slippery on tile floors. Probably scratch the hell out of wood floors, too. Have an idea or two re fixes. #
  • 14:47 @shdwjk That's more or less what I was planning...but using a peseta coin I have that's smaller than a dime because even a dime won't fit. #
  • 14:49 @HenryMelton No, that carbide tip is built in. I'm thinking of trying to use a peseta coin to backstop it until I can get a replacement. #
  • 14:50 Stopped at the Park Central branch library for a sit-down and wifi check.

  • 14:54 Well, onward and upward. #
  • 15:15 Waiting in the food stamp office lobby. #
  • 15:17 No wifi in here. Darnit. #
  • 16:09 Done at the food stamp office. On the bus heading homeward. #
  • 17:36 twitpic.com/60ncs - Slugbug bonus. #
  • 17:39 twitpic.com/60niv - Portrait of the artist as a mermaid? By Susan Sommer-Luarca, in window of her art gallery. #
  • 17:45 @cubiclequeen Chopsticks Restaurant, just south of Glenstone & Grand? (It's right near where I live. Maybe we could meet and eat.) #
  • 18:28 Found what I hope will be the solution to the carbide point problem: a tire air valve cap. #
  • 19:13 @cubiclequeen ...guess that's a "no" then. #
  • 19:16 Wow. My leg aches. I literally don't want to have to walk the few steps into my kitchen to cook supper. #
  • 19:17 Maybe I'll just starve. #
  • 19:29 @donwyatt Just FYI, Don, if you're not following someone they CAN'T DM you. #
  • 20:23 twitpic.com/61069 - The cat-cute, it is overwhelming... #
  • 21:19 Hey, #SGF ppl: tomorrow I'm getting a Sony PRS-700 e-book reader for a 2-week eval. I'd like to show it to some of you, get your opinions. #
  • 21:22 #SGF If you'd like to come see it, please email me. Domain name eyrie.org; user ID robotech. (Due to my broke leg, I can't bring it to you.) #
  • 22:03 New #TeleRead: Two weeks with a PRS-700: Preconceptions – bit.ly/LL7JD #
  • 22:41 @Shortpacked I don't even want to know. #
  • 22:43 @Pogue I want cars to have universal short-range comm, so I can send messages like "You left your turn signal on" or "Nice bumper sticker." #
