The Next Doctor

Found on the LJ of
gamera_spinning, who always sees the neat stuff before I do: this year's "Children in Need" special, which consists of the first two minutes of the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special, "The Next Doctor":
I've got mixed feelings about this: for the first time, it's not something unique and new, just the first two minutes of something else. On the other hand, it's nice to see a peek at what's coming up—but then again, it cuts off at such a frustrating place!
So who is this other Doctor? The regeneration after Tenant? The version of the Doctor from Rose's universe? Interesting that they both say "Allons-y!" as I seem to recall catchphrases like that only seem to belong to one regeneration—which would suggest this new Doctor is actually an alternate version of Tennant's. Or I could be reading too much into it. Heck, it might even be the regenerated Master playing mind games.
That Cyberman head looked rather a lot like one of the "real" Cybermen, not one of the alternate-dimensional "Cybus-men." Hmm.
