Random flea thought

There's stuff you can put on cats and dogs, or pills you can give them, of stuff that gets into their blood and kills any flea or tick unlucky enough to take a taste.

But there are not, as far as I know, any similar pills for humans.

Does that not constitute a bit of a double-standard?

Most humans do not have thick enough pelts to provide a place where fleas can live, and since the days of the Black Death are over, there are seldom enough fleas that want to bite humans to warrant the general administration of personal parasite poison.

Now in areas where head-lice or body-lice can be found it MIGHT be a good thing to have.

Well, down in the country where my folks live, there are sufficient ticks to make rolls of masking tape a required summer accessory. It would be nice if there were some way to make them just die and drop off without that being necessary…

I don't think frontline protects that well against ticks.
