Gentlemen, start your downloaders…
Jun. 17th, 2008 11:55 amIn just a few short minutes, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, Firefox Download Day commences. The Firefox people are going for a world record for number of downloads in one day for their new browser, v3.0.
And I strongly encourage you to get it, even if I weren't rooting for them to take the record. Forget the conventional wisdom about .0 releases; I've been using the prerelease version of this for a month or so now and it's really sweet. It is way faster and less memory-leaky than 2.0, and the new address bar, aka the "Awesome Bar," is marvelously convenient.
So don't just sit there—get to downloading! :)
EDIT: This link should work if you're having trouble getting to it in other ways: ftp://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0/

Sadly I am never disappointed.
