Apparently not

Well, they don't have my scooter. They were calling to make sure it was still missing so they would know to keep an eye out for suspicious types buying parts for that particular model of scooter. They said that if it's been taken out of town there's not much that can be done, but they're the only ones who sell those parts in town.

Well, it's a disappointment, but at least knowing they'll be looking out for it is better than nothing. And I may be able to pick up another cheap scooter sometime soon if a friend of a parent-in-law of a friend still has it.
