Christmas greetings

Well, here I am, back again after spending Saturday morning through Tuesday afternoon with the parents. Though this time, I took my whole computer along—and promptly proceeded to spend too much time on it, if you ask my Mom. C'est la vie. Maybe I'll go into more detail at a time when I'm not wanting to get into bed right away.

Some time ago, I found out about an interesting gizmo. I don't even remember how I learned about it anymore, whether it was in a friend's journal or on BoingBoing or Slashdot or some other site. All I know is, I found the concept fascinating enough that I plunked it onto my Amazon wishlist. (I'm not even sure why I started keeping a wishlist. Maybe I hoped to become a beneficiary of the trend of random Amazonians having something bought off their gift list by perfect strangers that was going around way back when. But it's come in pretty handy for Christmas and the like anyway.) Guess what I got for Christmas this year?

Yes, that very gadget: the Presto Pizzazz pizza cooker.

And wouldn't you know it? With all the stores closed on Christmas Day, there was no way for me to get a pizza to try it out yet. :P

Anyway, the best of the season to all my readers. Hope your Christmas was as great as mine.

It fits the definition of the cursed unitasker: takes up Way Too Much Space, and only does one thing. If it were more flexible in the sizes and shapes of pizza, or if it could be used for other things (omelets, pancakes, whatever) then it would be less offensive.

The element in the overhead-wand thing also makes me highly nervous. My tendency is to grab such things as handles, which would be V. Bad.
