Potential Netsuite card-fraud warning

I just heard from a friend that the credit card database of Netsuite—the company that handles credit card stuff for Valve's cybercafes—may have been compromised. Apparently Valve told iGames, and it's being discussed on the iGames private forums, but people who post about it in the Valve Cybercafes forum get their posts deleted.

Apparently credit card companies and the FBI have already been notified about what card numbers were compromised.

It's rumor relayed by about three degrees of separation, but if your credit card is active with Netsuite, you might want to consider sending off for a new one—or at least keep an eye out for any news that confirms or denies a security breach.

This is no longer a rumor. I've been in contact with Valve Cyber Cafe Support, as well as read the threads on the iGames private forums. There was a breach of security and CC Numbers were compromised, scripts were also copied that will allow private users to spoof the certificates used by Cyber Cafes for authorization.

Valve has known about the breech for two to three weeks and are taking actions to ensure that the person(s) responsible are brought to justice. It is confirmed that some Cyber Cafe CC numbers has been leaked. A UK iGames center is reporting 12 unauthorized purchases on his card. There is no word from Valve on what they will do should the full list be leaked.

Valve has been trying to keep this under wraps for some time now, citing that they are not legally obligated to inform the Cyber Cafes of the ongoings (except in California). There has been little communication from Valve regarding their plan of action for this incident. But needless to say, they'll have quite a few unhappy customers.
