Grocerating
Jul. 30th, 2006 06:52 pmWell, in my ongoing effort to make everything as complicated as possible, I'm just about to head out the door on a massive errand run. The plan is to bike up to the grocery store, buy groceries, call a cab, put the bike and the groceries in the cab, then truck down to the laundromat and pick the bundle serviced laundry up, too. Having no car as I do, I try to combine as many errands as possible into a single cab run to save money. Taxis are expensive. But on the other hand, they're less expensive than owning your own car, especially the way gas costs these days.
I'd rather be at home playing on my computer, the way I have been all day, but sometimes things have to get done. I could put it off 'til tomorrow evening, I guess, but I'd rather have the new clothes available now. So out I go into the summer heat to retrieve the necessary goods.
