There's a meme going around. The idea is that you pick 16 quotes from your favorite movies, ask for people to identify them, and then strike out the quotes and put the title and LJ ID of the person who guessed right after each one. I'm kind of cheating a little; a couple of my quotes are from TV series, and a couple may be slightly obscure. And there's probably not enough people reading this anyway to get them. But what the heck, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

The quotes aren't exact, I may have gotten some of them slightly wrong, but the sense is there.

1. "Thank GOD for model trains! If it weren't for model trains, how would we know how to make the big ones?" A Mighty Wind, [livejournal.com profile] thandrak
2. "That was my first bus ride."
3. "It's a thingie! A fiendish thingie!" Help!, [livejournal.com profile] thandrak
4. "There's something about us I have to do—some kind of secret I will share with you."
5. "You boys have to learn not to talk to nuns that way." The Blues Brothers, [livejournal.com profile] zonereyrie
6. "Who's that old sourpuss?" Robotech, [livejournal.com profile] genchaos
7. "To the lecherous and greedy count. I will purloin your bride. That day will come soon." Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro, [livejournal.com profile] genchaos
8. "You ain't Baxter?" "I ain't Hawley." Silverado, [livejournal.com profile] rickj
9. "How do I look?" "Like a hood ornament." The Rocketeer, [livejournal.com profile] rickj
10. "Give the man a gun and he's Superman; give him two and he's God." Hard-Boiled (or, in the original Chinese, Hot-Handed God of Cops), [livejournal.com profile] thandrak
11. "They live deeply, these vagabonds."
12. "There's just no way to dust for vomit." This is Spinal Tap, [livejournal.com profile] thandrak
13. "In the enemy's country—hopelessly lost, helplessly cold and horribly hungry."
14. "You mustn't run from anything immortal; it attracts their attention." The Last Unicorn, [livejournal.com profile] rickj
15. "This is a house of God!" "Don't worry, Father, we'll be gone before He gets back."
16. "You were fantastic. And you know what? So was I." Doctor Who ("Parting of the Ways"), [livejournal.com profile] tbutler
