Drabble: Unicorns & Sluggy Freelance

For archangelbeth. I wasn't able to work in the unicorn putting its head in Bun-bun's lap—but I tried to come up with what I thought Pete might have done with it, so I think she'll be satisfied...

The trees stood in ageless ranks around the shaded clearing. Here sat a maiden fair—and in her lap, the unicorn rested its head…

…until the mini-lop appeared and did something to its foreleg. "OK, I'll take it from here."

The unicorn rose. "She's all yours."

Bun-bun hopped into the now-vacant maiden's lap. "Thanks, pal. Hiya, toots!"

At the edge of the clearing, Torg stared as the unicorn walked past, a couple of fifties stuffed into the garter on its foreleg. "A unicorn gigolo?"

The unicorn snorted. "Do you know how expensive a full-body perm with horn-and-hoof buff is these days?"
