I'm sure we've all seen the threads here and elsewhere that talk about the phenomenon of getting CoH "flashbacks" in real life...

Well, this article isn't specifically about CoH, but then, this sort of thing happens an awful lot in other games, too...

Personally, if you are having problem separating real life fromt eh video game universe, then I think you need serious intervention. Someone needs to cut the power to your house for a good few days and you need to go do something. Get a grip. Anything.

I totally didn't understand when I was a kid and people went nuts playing Dungeons and Dragons and started stabbling each other or flipping out and jumping off cliffs thinking they could fly. I played D&D like an animal and had no problem knowing fantasy from reality. Perhaps these people are flawed and need to have someone trigger their self destruct buttons to keep the gene pool clean. I certainly don't know.

Seems like every generation has some mental aberration like this. Just totally strange.
