Sunday evening...
Jan. 18th, 2004 05:23 pmWell, this morning the first thing I did was to head out to go shopping...pick up a few necessary things like dishwasher detergent. Now, the other day I finally decided to do something about my left turn signal not working, picking up both turn signal bulbs and a new flasher module at an auto parts store. As I was on my way to the store, it occurred to me...perhaps I could have my brother change my turn signal bulb for me.
It turned out that, not only was Aaron willing to do this, but my Mom & Dad were coming up for lunch today at their house. So I headed on over (after a brief stop to grab some beer at the Springfield Brewing Company), leaving the store for later on.
After a decent lunch, I headed out to Wal-Mart; my brother had suggested that I could get my oil changed there for $12, and it sounded like a good plan to me. However, it turned out that they couldn't do it; the last time I'd gotten my oil changed, whoever had done it cross-threaded the drain plug and they couldn't touch those. I had thought it was Firestone that would have done that...but it occurred to me on further reflection that it was more likely the small garage near Aurora where I had a tuneup done on my car a few months ago. I need to call them when they're open and find out what they can do about that for me. Thus unchanged, I headed toward home, stopping at a grocery store to get some buns, luncheon meat, and cheese for use in sandwiches this coming week.
After that, I started to head home...then I decided to swing by the Springfield Brewing Company again, since I was in the area. And I wanted to see if it was possible to access the Internet from the Brewing Company, which would be a bonus in the event of wanting to spend some time there drinking beer while surfing the 'net. As it turns out, the Keyes Art Gallery next door has a wireless hotspot that can be accessed from within SBC...so here I am.
After I finish my beer, it'll be time to head on home...see what I can do about getting the laundry gathered up. I meant to do that earlier today, but...you know how it goes. I do need to go ahead and do it...so I may well end up in the laundromat this evening instead of at home where I want to be. Sigh.
