Highs and lows...

robotech_masterTemperature aside, today was a bit of a day of highs and lows. The highs: after talking to a customer whose account we'd screwed up seven different ways from Sunday, talking her through how to apply for credit and how to use a feature of voicemail that would make up for a feature of remote-access call forwarding not being available...anyway, after all this, she was so happy with the service I gave her that she wanted to praise me to my supervisor. That's something that happens so rarely, it always puts me in a good mood when it happens. And then, for lunch, we had MCI-provided fried chicken for dinner. (Wal-Mart brand, but beggars can't be choosers.)
It lasted until the afternoon, when I got rather tired and, due to forgetting to check the schedule, I was on hold for 15 minutes for a department that...had closed about the time I placed the call in the first place. Right through my break, putting me a cumulative 30 minutes off schedule. Sigh.
It suddenly became Thursday again, without my knowledge. Only one more day until the weekend...and then only five more workdays until my Christmas vacation starts. I'm going to be off the entire week of Christmas, and the weekends before and after...I'm not going to remember how to work by the time I get back on. It's funny...I'm looking forward to it, but I'm altogether not sure what I'll do with it. I feel like I should do something momentous, or else I'll be "wasting" it. Heh...I'll probably just end up lazing around home and watching movies for most of it.
Well, should probably go get ready for bed, I guess. I need to start going to bed earlier at these times when there's nothing doing online, so I'll at least wake up a little earlier and have more browse time before I go to work.
