And when I went to lunch, it was gray and cold and raining, and it stayed that way for the rest of the day. But then, what do you expect for a Monday?

The day's calls tended to be stressful. I was glad enough when they were over. Thank goodness I'm on an 8-hour workday now...I don't think I could handle 10 hours of this every day, even in exchange for an extra day off.

I'm really not impressed with the quality of AT&T Wireless's customer service now. The very first time I had my old phone, I called them up to find out how I could access a phone directory via the webpage. They talked me through it and I found it swiftly and easily. Tonight, I called again to find out where it was now, waited on hold twenty minutes...and the CS rep didn't even know such a thing had ever been available, nor had the techie she consulted about it. Sigh. There went one of the most useful features of the whole service. Of course, she has much the same job I do, so thus I know that odds are I just got a dumb rep, and perhaps the next one I speak to will be able to tell me more. I should really have asked for her supervisor, I guess. I will next time, if I don't get a better answer.

I got notice that Greencine's dispatched my next DVD today—Stop Making Sense, the Talking Heads concert video. It's been too long since I've seen that, and I've certainly never seen it with the 5.1 quality sound system I have now. I look forward to its arrival. And, really, I need to go ahead and watch the other Greencine DVDs and send them in so I can get new selections. I haven't been getting my money's worth out of the service lately since I haven't been able to watch DVDs easily...but since I have the new computer, at least that much has changed.

More anon.
