Surrounded by sound
Nov. 9th, 2003 08:51 pmWell, the parentals came up today, and my Dad, brother, and I watched The Matrix: Revolutions. It was interesting. I don't think I'm going to say it's as bad as other people have been saying. Heck, it's kind of unfair to a movie with such an interconnected storyline to compare them to each other. The trilogy as a whole, I liked.
After that, we headed back to my apartment, with a brief stop at Chopsticks, a very good little Chinese restaurant that's opened near my place. Then we moved some furniture around so that I could put my desk a bit closer to the center of my room. This has enabled me to place the outlying speakers of my computer's 5.1 sound system with a bit more separation...and now it sounds wonderful. I watched Spirited Away earlier, and now I'm watching The Eagles: Hell Freezes Over–with the 5.1 Dolby track for the first time ever, and it sounds some darned good. (Since this means I can access a "bonus track," "Seven Bridges Road," that's only available to folks with surround, I'm very pleased.)
