Looks like I'm not alone in being inconvenienced by AT&T's GSM upgrade system glitch. It figures that I would decide to upgrade during a newsworthy system outage.

In other news, I was a bad, bad boy last night after I found out I'd won more money than I expected. (Well, I never really expect to win any money, but there it is.) I went out and bought The Sims: Superstar. Now I'm only one supplement behind the curve. And I can't wait to get back home and have a go at it.

Looking forward to getting to see Matrix: Revolutions this weekend with my folks. About out of break time now, though, so must return to work.

Thought I'd casually mention that AT&T's GSM footprint is widely regarded to be one of the worst in the industry, whereas their TDMA coverage is hailed as the best. My carrier of choice is T-Mobile/VoiceStream, but, as usual, your mileage may vary. (Mmmm .. Get More 3000...)

Thanks for the advisory, but given that I've already got most of a 1 year contract to go (thus looking at a big ol' kill fee), and my cellphone needs are limited largely to "surrogate landline"/pocket phone service around my limited area, I think I can live with that. I will ask them about TDMA vs GSM whenever I finally do go in for the upgrade, though.
