It's the cops
Aug. 6th, 2003 08:24 pmSo, I got home from dinner an hour or so to notice three police patrol cars pulled up in front of my apartment building, with nobody in them. Sort of an unnerving sight, I can tell you. Curious, and since it was such a pleasant evening, I took my laptop outside and had a seat where I had a good vantage point to see what was going on. Shortly thereafter, the three police cars were joined by a K9 car.
A few minutes ago, the K9 officer came back out leading a handsome-looking German Shepherd, and drove off; now the other cops are coming out, one of them bearing a fire extinguisher. A couple of uniformed, a couple plainclothes...I don't see any signs of arrestees, though.
I wonder if I'm going to be reading about this in the newspaper tomorrow. Probably not...it doesn't look like they found anything. I went over to ask the neighbors who were waiting outside, and they said the police hadn't told them anything. Just another one of those little mysteries, I guess.
