I realize it's been a while since I've written anything. Well, the reason for that is likely that when I get down to spending time seriously relaxing, having to sit down at the computer and bang out an entry is a bit of a chore. :)

Speaking of chores, I've gotten about 95% unpacked now. I've gotten rid of most of the boxes in my living room, and moved the ones I didn't unpack (Transformers & electronic gadgetry stuff) to the guest bedroom, where they're safely out of the way. What remains is a bit of straightening up, and unpacking the bathroom stuff after Aaron brings over the necessities to brace that toilet shelf up.

Made my first genuine cooked meal of home the other day: sloppy joes. And I've been eating them for every meal ever since. They're good, cheap, and the buns won't keep forever, even in the fridge, so I might as well enjoy them while I can. Watched the original X-Men movie again yesterday, to get ready to see X2 this weekend if I can. (I'm going to see if I can get in at the Springfield 8 today, since it's a less popular theatre than the crowded-and-outsold Campbell 16.)

I'm a little worried about work for the coming week. This past week, we were trained on a whole new computer system, and three new programs to support. It was an awful lot of information to retain, and I hope I can manage to get through the next week. I'm very worried about my job security.

I'm a little bit saddened by the new schedule...even as it fits more closely with my preferred sleep schedule, it means that I'll be arriving home four nights a week after the bulk of the roleplaying and chat stuff has been done on the chatserver I frequent, and people will be winding down to go to bed. Still, it's not as if I were doing much on those evenings anyway.

Strange Work Schedule

Dear Chris,

I expect everything will come clear to you over time. I have floundered around not knowing what I am doing, and finally things sort of fall into place. As long as you have a supervisor to help you in the early days when needed, you will be fine. You ARE trying to do a good job, which some don't bother about, and that will help you.

Ebert and Whatsit like X-Men II real well, better than the original movie.

Love,

Ddddy
