Here's a quick heads up to all other residents of Springfield, Missouri who read me (such as [livejournal.com profile] artmomz): Spirited Away, the Oscar-winning animated feature by acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki, is coming to the South Campbell 16 starting this Friday. I just called them and checked, and they said it was.

So grab any kids you can get your hands on and take them down to see it. Grab any adults you can get your hands on and take them down to see it. See it. It's one of the best movies you'll see this year. Or any other.

Chris?

Could you please start using lj-cuts a bit more liberally (there's that "L" word).
I enjoy reading your entries, most of the time, but they're visually dominating my screen.

Sorry, that was a glitch in LJ. I was trying to get a friend to stop with the page-and-a-half of chatter about his job and the minutia of his life, and for no apparent reason it sent it to someone else.

No, it wasn't a glitch. I was curious as to why you think his entries are long. (Even on my laptop, there is nothing hit a page down button at least once won't cure. His entries usually that much longer than that.) He writes just as much as my other friends or myself do (which are entry protected, so you wouldn't be able to see them if you looked).

Anyway, I'm just tickled to see him posting again. He went through a period where he was hardly posting at all. Besides, I prefer to see real life vs. quizes any day...but I guess that's my personal preference.

...and please excuse my grammar, I can barely see this morning...

Oh, OK. I read on my laptop. Chris's comments fill an entire screen and then some, even if I maximize MS Exploder, and I generally keep it shoved over to the side slightly.

Most other people, with that much to say, put it behind an lj-cut.

I'm not sure what your criteria are for an LJ-cut. I've looked back at my entire first screen of recent LJ entries, and of them all, only one un-cut one is longer than four or five short paragraphs, which is usually when I decide to cut. I see no point in lj-cutting a two paragraph entry.

Yes, I remember you telling me about it...

Chris, What is an "LJ cut?" Why do some people want you to use one? Can you tell how many people visit your journal? I enjoy your live journal very much. ~Ddddy
