Luck is turning

Well, I'm starting to believe my luck might just be starting to turn around.

1. That annoying neighbor I sometimes talk about...the one who used to go THUMP THUMP THUMP on my wall when I played the radio, was loud and violent to the neighbors, and possibly beat his wife? Apparently he moved out on Monday...in a hurry. It seems he was due to appear in court on felony drug-dealing charges on Tuesday. He sold all the remaining stuff in his apartment to one of my neighbors for $100, then turned around and tried to sell his TV for $50 to another neighbor after that (but the first neighbor caught him and made him refund $50 of his money). All I can say is, it's about time! I'm celebrating by playing "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" with the volume cranked up. :)
   
   
2. As I was talking with that first neighbor who bought the annoying neighbor's stuff, I happened to mention how I'd kind of like to have one of the chairs from the place...as cheap as it is, it's better than the plastic lawn furniture I'm using now due to my cheap swivel chair finally giving up the ghost (with me sitting in it). When I mentioned that I wanted it for my computer chair, the guy said that he had a decent swivel chair he could give me instead, as soon as he finished clearing out the fleeing neighbor's stuff. Cool.
   
   
3. I got a job at MCI that starts March 10th! Customer service, granted, but still...it pays better than Kmart did, and at least I won't have to deal with the customers face to face. It'll be long hours, sometimes early hours, sometimes late hours, but it's full time, it's sitting down, and it has benefits! And one of my brother's friends used to work there, and seems to feel it was a fun place to work, so we'll see.
