Sprayed around in my apartment with strong poison...stuff that technically isn't supposed to be used indoors, but, since the other stuff I'd tried wasn't terribly effective...well, it's worth a shot. It sure stank to high heaven. Had to go outside and breathe a couple times while I was doing it. Anyway, I hit the major trouble spots; I hope that it keeps them down for a while. I'll spray again in a week or so for reinforcement purposes.

After that, I wanted to get out of my room for a while, so I drove down to the $2 theater with the thought of seeing Treasure Planet. However, when I got there, I found TP was sold out. Weird...hadn't expected that to happen at a discount showing. But then I noticed that Die Another Day was also in the discount house, which suggested that it might not be on the big screen for much longer...and, since I had wanted to see it at least one more time on the big screen, I bought a ticket.

With an hour to kill, I walked over to a nearby pub and had a beer, and learned that there was a chili cookoff that afternoon. So, with that in mind, I went back after the movie (which I enjoyed just as much as the first time I saw it) and sampled chili until I could scarcely wobble out to my car. There were quite a few different kinds there, and I think I tasted maybe half to two thirds of them. A couple of them I went back for seconds or thirds. One of them allegedly had bear meat in it. I couldn't tell any difference between it and beef...which is, perhaps, one of the points of chili.

Came back home after that, and listened through the Guster concert bootleg I'd downloaded last night. It was good. I'm going to have to see one of their live shows, if I ever get the chance...from what made it onto the boots, they sound like a lot of fun.
