Good Fellowship

robotech_masterToday I received a very fun package in the mail. A friend of mine (a very good friend! An excellent friend!) sent me an early Christmas present.
The Fellowship of the Ring, the 4-disc extended edition. With 30 minutes of extra footage, four separate commentary tracks, 6 hours of documentary, and even a free movie ticket to The Two Towers thrown in as part of the deal. That's something like 27 hours of stuff in all.
I've just finished watching the six hours of documentary, probably staying up a little later than I meant, but what the heck. Tomorrow I'll find time to watch the extended cut of the movie (I wish I had a nice bigscreen TV where I could show it as it deserves to be seen. Oh well) and on Wednesday I go to see The Two Towers with the folks. Yay, escapism.
I wish I could send the friend who sent this to me something good for Christmas...but I think that'd best wait 'til I have a job and am earning some income. Hope that happens soon. :(
