Nov. 4th, 2002 08:08 pmSomeone up there must be trying to tell me something.
So the meeting this afternoon with the boss went okay. Better than I'd expected. I told him I'd be more careful, then I went to perform my evening rounds.
About an hour and a half ago, I sideswiped a lady's car. Minimal damage, but we had to report it. I got a Failure to Yield ticket.
So, that's three accidents in two days of driving.
I held it together long enough to make it back to the office, and broke down sobbing.

Date: 2002-11-04 10:50 pm (UTC)1. You need to get yourself checked out by the doctor. Look into all the subtle stuff: hearing loss (or just buildup of wax), infections that can impair equilibrium, recently developed eye problems, allergy or digestive problems, that kind of thing. A good doctor will take the news that you are suddenly having accidents and want to evaluate you for signs of hidden problems.
2. Given that you are in stressful circumstances with some long-term stressors that won't immediately go away, you need to find good advice on dealing with them. Books aimed at advising folks with chronic illness can often be handy here - not that it's your problem, but that the psyhological meaning of the problem can be similar.
This all sucks, but you can both understand it better and relieve some of it and adjsut your responses to the rest even as understanding piles up.
