The humble lawn gnome—the gift that keeps on giving!

Woohoo! It looks like the QuikDine.com delivery driver position I was trying to get has come through! This won't be a permanent job for me by a long shot, but it'll bring in some money while I'm trying to get a higher-paying professional gig. I go in for training on Saturday, and I'm really excited about this. The guy thinks it's possible he could get me working full-time.

On the downside, I'd probably be doing a lot of evening driving, and evening is the prime-time for spending on-line with my friends. But earning money requires some sacrifices…and to be honest, I haven't been spending that much time with them lately anyway, due to my Sims obsession.

I think I'm finally done playing Sims for a while, though…at least until I get some money and can buy Unleashed. I finally got everyone up to the highest position on the Paranormal career track—and then, one by one, they got kicked out of their jobs by an FBI investigation and put into the Junior Executive position on the Business track. I wonder if something similar will happen when they reach the top of that, too?

Anyway, that's the current state of my being. More when I have more to report.
