You ain't never gonna believe this one

I believe Einstein said something about only two things being infinite--the universe, and the human capacity for stupidity--and he wasn't too sure about the former.
It seems that there are some people who feel that Peter Jackson's choice to name the second Lord of the Rings movie The Two Towers is a tasteless reference to the World Trade Center bombing.
I swear to God I am not making this up. I wish I were.
The scary thing is that as of this entry, they have 1,242 signatures on that thing.
Update: Reading the Plastic.com discussion thread on the petition, I notice that the petition was apparently created by...a Slashdot troll. So the whole thing is a troll, not stupidity. In that light, I suppose I have to shake my head more at the thousand-plus gullible folks who signed it than the creator of it. Still...
