Okay, so I realize I haven't written here in a while. I'm just like that, I'm afraid. I don't think I can make up for the lost time; I'll just summarize a few things and try to start again from there.

First off, I'll welcome a new friend to my LJ friends list: [livejournal.com profile] demiurgent. Be kind.

My Clie has been working out quite well over the last couple of weeks. Having 64 megabytes of memory stick in which to put books is a major boon. For once, I'm nowhere near running out of space--or out of reading matter. I've put literally dozens of books in the gizmo, and it'll be a long, long time before I run out of things to read.

Included in that reading matter are some of the more recent episodes from the Superguy mailing list. For those folks who aren't aware of what Superguy is, it's one of the oldest shared-universe fiction environments in continuous operation--going back more than ten years. As the title suggests, the list's main focus is superhero fiction, mainly of a humorous bent. It's built up hundreds of megabytes--gigabytes?--of archives over the years, some good, some bad, some ugly--all of which are publically retrievable via a CGI interface. There's some great stuff there, and new writers are welcome, as long as they make the effort to get a clue before starting out.

Aside from reading, I've also been writing--banging away at my own most recent addition to my Superguy series, Team M.E.C.H.A. It'd been a while since I last wrote, and needless to say these tales aren't ever going to make me famous--but it's fun to write them, anyway. :) I've also been working on synopsizing old episodes of my series, as an aid to newer readers, and I'm about halfway through the back-issues of the series now. It's somewhere between fun and cringe-inducing to look at this old stuff again. I get nostalgic, but I also get the "oh God, I wrote that?!" sensation more often than I wish were true. Oh well.

What else, what else...oh! I've done up new versions of my incest maps, in both the small, Zamiel-approved version and the expanded humongo version. So now you can see who my friends are and where they all fit. As if you care. :)

That's about all I have the energy to write now. Maybe tomorrow I'll talk a little about David Weber and neighbors' barbecues. Or maybe I won't; you never can tell.
