Mar. 20th, 2002 11:53 pmOkay, I'll try to be quiet about this whole BookCrossing thing for the next couple of days--after this.
I'd just like to say it's really neat reading comments from people who find the books in odd places and go, "Hey, wow, this was so neat. Like winning the lottery." And I'm hoping I get some comments like this or this about books I leave. (Not necessarily the bad review contained in the latter, but some good words would be nice. :)
As I was at work today, I happened to notice a slightly alarming article on the front page of the local newspaper. It seems that someone has complained to the local school board about Harry Potter books being in the school libraries, and so the school board has to form a committee to investigate this. *sigh* I hate when that happens.
As a sort of reaction, one of the books I've registered on BookCrossing is a copy of Sorcerer's Stone, which I intend to put somewhere the youth element can find it. I'm considering a local Chuck E. Cheese's franchise as a likely spot.
