Brief Update
Mar. 11th, 2002 11:46 amNot too much time to say much at this juncture; I leave for dental appointment in twenty minutes. Still, it's enough time to fill in a bit of what happened last night.
I went over to Joe's place, bringing meat, Sriracha, DVDs, and some other munchies and stuff. Joe was already engaged in making the cake. A friend of his, Brandon, was there also, and while Joe was making spaghetti and cake, we headed out--first to my apartment to see if there were any other DVDs we might want to watch tonight, then to the store to pick up butter for the frosting for Joe's cake. He called us on my cell as we were about finished, so we headed back to eat.
During dinner, we watched a bit of stuff from The Matrix Revisited, then put in the Big Trouble in Little China special edition and had a blast. I hadn't seen it in a while, and was saving it for good company. To my amusement, Joe and Brandon spent much of the film arguing about what World of Darkness character types Lo Pan and the rest of the characters were. "Got to be an Akasha, I tell you." Gamers, all.
After the movie, I messed around on the Internet on Joe's machine a bit, then headed home as Joe's D&D game was meeting that night. There were going to be 11 people there, if you could believe it. Some people have all the luck. I need to get after Joe to start up his Adventure! campaign again; his friends say it's the coolest, and I've got a hankering for some Adventure again.
As I left, I accidentally forgot the loaf pan from my bread machine, which I had brought a loaf of bread in to keep it warm. Oops! Well, Joe's house is on the way down to the dentist anyway, so I'll fetch it as I go down, or as I come back up if that fails.
Well, more tonight. Need to load the laundry in the car, put out the cat, and go.
