The Last Auction Hero
Feb. 6th, 2002 08:58 pmI've done pretty well so far today; sold my old TI-86 graphing calculator (which I've had for years) for $60. Not bad considering it cost $100 new several years ago. Considering depreciation, I probably came off better than it looks.
Also sold a copy of The Story of the Stone by Barry Hughart for $15. Given that I paid about $6 for it new, that's definitely not bad. Maybe I should try picking up and selling some more hardcovers.
The only thing is, since I sold both of those with "Buy It Now," which is where someone can bypass bidding and pay a fixed amount to get the item now, I find myself wondering if maybe I shouldn't have set the prices a little higher.
Oh well. Profit is good.
