Who is the Doctor
Jan. 5th, 2002 11:04 pmI watched Spearhead from Space today, and listened to about half the commentary track before doing a websearch and finding a Dr. Who episode guide, which I read through completely today. You know, it's a darned shame just how many episodes of the '60s and '70s series were lost forever, never to be found again, just because the short-sighted BBC didn't want to pay storage costs on them and didn't see the point keeping them around. What a pity.
I've been downloading a few episodes, including some scenes from episodes of earlier Doctors in monochrome. It's rather fun, seeing how the various Doctors changed in the way they interpreted the character.
I wish there were more episodes available. As it is, I'm going to have to start CD burning soon to clear off space on my hard drive.
