It only just occurred to me today that, being out of school, I will soon no longer have access to a bunch of school resources that I had been taking for granted. The library, the LANs...and most notably, the laser printers. It used to be that whenever I needed a printout of something, I could put it on a zipdisk or scp it to a remote computer on which I have an account, then pull it down at the library computer and send it through the printer. I even made little booklets out of some postscript files I downloaded that way.
But now that I'll soon be no longer a student, I won't be able to do that--you have to have a LAN account to use the lab facilities--including the printers--and I won't.
Maybe I should have asked for an inkjet printer for Christmas.
