Under the Influence of Turkey
Nov. 22nd, 2001 03:28 pmWell, I just got back from driving down to the relatives' for Thanksgiving dinner. It was quite good; they had their turkey stuffed with a deboned duck, which in turn had stuffing in it. The whole thing was all quite delicious, and they sent back a plate with me for supper tonight. That about takes care of the restaurant worries, doesn't it?
Some of my small cousins were there--Raime, and Jacob and his sister Sarah. They were all quite hyperactive. I read part of the first chapter of Harry Potter to them, but they were a little too rowdy and distractable to pay much attention to it, so I gave it up after a little while. They were quite a handful today, in fact--not terribly well behaved. But then, kids always are that way at that age, and we have to make allowances.
After the drive down, the turkey, and the drive back, I'm quite tired. I'm planning to lie down and try to nap for a little while. Hope I'll feel a little less tired when I get up.
