Strange horsie dreams
Apr. 9th, 2013 02:26 amAided by painkillers, I had the strangest dream…
An Amish or Mennonite guy brought a special trailer down to Mom & Dad's place at Victory Ridge as some sort of make-a-wish type of thing. It opened out into a sort of portable stable for Clydesdales. (Though for some odd reason they were referred to as Lipizaners in the dream.) A bunch of people dressed in jodhpurs and those red coats rode them around the house in a parade (for some reason we had the old house, not the new one), including one that was missing a foreleg up to the knee but had a prosthetic it trotted around on.
For some reason, I was more interested in staying inside and playing a racing video game that I'd somehow loaded up with footage of Highway C. But when I came out to see the horses, all our regular horses were there, too, and were running around in panic at all the strange bigger horses around. One of them stepped on my foot, and the Amish fellow was quite despondent about that. And then I was disappointed to realize I hadn't taken any pictures while everyone was still riding around. (I was, of course, further disappointed when I woke up and realized the pictures I did take wouldn't be anywhere anyway. :)
