Great news on a cold day

I got a phone call today, as I was out and about running errands, from a recruiter who had found me on Monster and was very interested to hear from me. He was looking for someone to fill a 3-month, $30/hr technical writing position in Bentonville, AR, for a certain megaconglomerate who is headquartered there. The job would be writing training documentation.
Needless to say, I was very interested, so as soon as I could I got to the Dancing Mule coffeeshop, whipped out my laptop, and proceeded to download and update my writing resume. I sent it off, the recruiter said it looked good and was forwarding it to the client, and he hoped to hear from them by Monday.
Now I have my fingers crossed big time. I would be a bit hesitant to accept a contract position in K.C. or St. Louis, at least at the moment, but Bentonville is a lot closer to home. I could rent a studio apartment there on a temporary basis, perhaps place my cats with Mom & Dad, and come back and visit on weekends. And when it was over, I would have a good chunk of money toward paying off my debts, and terrific expreience to put on my resume.
Fingers crossed, fingers crossed.
